Irene is a Certified Practising Speech Pathologist and a member of Speech Pathology Australia, holding a Master of Speech Pathology from Flinders University. She has one year of clinical experience across community, school, and clinic settings, supporting both paediatric and adult clients with a range of communication needs.
She has experience working with individuals presenting with speech, language, social communication, and functional communication challenges, and has additional experience supporting clients who use AAC. Irene is also LSVT LOUD certified, with an interest in supporting voice and neurological populations. She is passionate about delivering client-centred, evidence-based intervention that is practical and meaningful to each individual’s daily life. Her key strengths include developing strong therapeutic rapport, implementing tailored and functional intervention, and collaborating with families and multidisciplinary teams to support meaningful communication outcomes across everyday contexts.
As a Mandarin speaker, Irene has a strong interest in supporting bilingual clients and their families. She is committed to providing culturally responsive care and creating an inclusive environment where clients feel understood and supported. Irene is dedicated to ongoing professional development and aims to empower individuals to communicate with greater confidence, independence, and participation in their everyday environments.
Outside of work, Irene enjoys reading detective novels, playing games, and visiting museums. She also has an interest in languages and speaks some Japanese. Known for her friendly and outgoing personality, Irene enjoys connecting with people and bringing a warm, positive energy to both her professional and personal life.
