Hongyi Sun is a Senior Occupational Therapist with extensive experience in the Aged Care and Disability sectors, specialising in complex home modifications, assistive technology prescription, functional capacity assessments (FCA), and support for individuals with complex care needs. He holds a Master of Occupational Therapy Practice from Monash University.
Hongyi has over 18 years of study and professional experience in the healthcare sector, developing a strong foundation in health sciences and community-based practice. Throughout his career, he has worked closely with older adults and people with disabilities, supporting individuals and families to navigate functional decline, environmental barriers, and increasing care needs. His clinical work focuses on translating assessment findings into practical environmental solutions that enhance safety, independence, and meaningful participation in daily life.
He has significant experience working with individuals who present with high and complex care needs, including those with progressive conditions, mobility limitations, and multifaceted environmental challenges.
